Objectives

Configure the  IOU in gns3.

What is Cisco IOU

 IOU stands for IOS on UNIX

Requirements

Gns3, Virtual box or VMware workstation,

Gns3 IOU VM(virtual Machine)

IOU License.

L2 L3 IOU images

i86bi-linux-l2-adventerprisek9-15.1a

Windows 7 OS

RAM 4 GB minimum

Downloading the Gns3 IOU vmdk image from

www.community.gns3.com

For virtual box download visit at

www.Virtualbox.org

Step-1

Download and install Gns3 in your windows machine,

I installed the version of Gns3 1.3.1.

Step-2

Download the Cisco IOUvm from software download tab, and go to bottom of the page there Appliances  Click on GNS3 IOUVM.

Step-3

Download the virtual box or Vmware workstation and install it.

Step-4

After completing  above step 2,3 just double click the IOUvm.

Requirements

Gns3 (Graphical network Simulator)   recent version  1.3 currently i have.
Cisco ASA 8.4.2 Image
Windows 8 (64 Bit edition)

4GB  RAM
i3 Processor.
 Currently am using for this issue.

1.  Install the Gns3, it will downloaded from community.gns3.com, i registered there, downloaded that and
installed.
2 Open the Gns3, Go to edit -> preferences.

Select the QEMU  and click on New.















Select the ASA 8.4.2
